I heard that even laser treatment can cause unwanted scarring, especially amongst those who have a tendency to scar excessively. Is there any type of laser therapy which definitely does not cause scarring?

If patients have tendency to scar (having keloids), hypersensitivity to sunlight, taking drugs causing photosensitivity (eg isotretioin),scarring risk may be higher than others. But if you don't have these factors you can feel comfortable if you are in the right place (under plastic surgeon or dermatologist control). Because risk of scarring is very low when you are in safe hands.
And nobody can tell you that this laser has no risk of scarring theoretically.
