BIB Procedure - 1 Month later

I underwent the BIB procedure in early July. Its now 1 month and I have complications that are not going away. There is always a feeling of discomfort and pain. Vomiting most of the food or drinks I take in. Painful heartburn that keeps me awake during the night. Lately I have started to feel dizzy and without much strength - which is possibly due to lack of nutrients. Can you help?

RE: BIB Procedure - 1 Month later

1) You will have to take omeprazol or pantoprazol for decreasing stomach juice acidity to avoid heatrburn.
2) most often clients eat too much after BIB procedure. You must divide Your meal into five per day, one meal is only 3-4 bites !!!
3) If the wieght drop is too fast, try to take some multivitamins with Your diet. (How many kilos have You lost within the first month ?)

RE: BIB Procedure - 1 Month later

Thanks Dr Martin, much appreciated. Sadly the heartburn happens even though I cannot keep any food in due to vomiting. Even when I drank water I felt I needed to vomit. It has improved in the second month but sadly I have only lost 4kg since I fitted the BIB early July. Is this normal?

RE: BIB Procedure - 1 Month later

4 kg/month is not bad. On the other hand it shows, that although You have such problems , You are still getting enough food.
Please, start with the omeprazol/pantoprazol medication - that will improve the problems with heartburn for sure, and together with this start to divide the daily food into 6 meals (very small!!). For the beginning You can improve the nausea and vomiting using Torecan.
