BIB is filled with saline and coloured with metylen blue mainly for security reason - for case of a leak from the balloon your urine will turn blue - green. Any leak from the baloon requires immediate check up. Either endoscopy, or utrasound or X-ray examination should consider the integrity and proper localisation of the baloon. Any case of an altered measure and position of BIB immediate removal has to be performed.
