I am thinking about removing my wrinkles using Botox but I'm afraid of possible complications. What are the most common complications and side effects that occur after the application of Botox?

We can say that Botox is a quite safe cosmetic procedure. Bruising can be observed as with every procedure requiring needling. But it is seen occasionally. Some drugs like aspirin, vitamine E can increase risk of bruising. Some headache, nausea and rarely flu-like symptoms can be seen on the day of application. These are temporary.
Complications are seen very rarely when done properly. The dosage we use and the sites of injection are important to avoid these complications.
Complications which may arise after botox change according to site of injection and can include eyelid ptosis, eyebrow ptosis, asymmetric eye brows, double vision, lip ptosis (after injection to lips )and asymmetric smiling. These side effects last about 1-3 weeks.

Less common Botox risks include symptoms that are generally associated with the injection. These include redness, pain, swelling, numbness, bruising, muscle weakness and bleeding. Normally, these symptoms generally subside within a week after injection.

Botulinum toxin is recommended for young patients with early wrinkles. However, satisfactory results also and effective in older people. In aesthetic medicine, botulinum toxin can be combined with other rejuvenation treatments to achieve more effective and more embellishment. Usually applied with pulsed light to improve skin condition. Sometimes, you can use filler in a deteriorating and in another, it is sufficient botulinum toxin.
The result is increasingly visible between the third and fifth day after treatment. During the first fortnight wrinkles are removed gradually. And on the twentieth day occurs the first visit to check the results.
The duration of the effect of these injections is six months, then you can do a second session. After eight months can make a third session and from this annual maintenance is recommended.
However, after the intervention may be minor bruising easily disappear with a little makeup. There may also be headaches and problems resulting from poor implementation. Although the efficiency is 100%, 95% of cases require minor tweaks. Only is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation and in patients with coagulopathies or exposed to anticoagulants.
Hi,
BOTOX, botulinum toxin original Allergan Laboratories, is a very safe drug product. My experience with Botox has been for 18 years and to date I have not had any complications or side effects. However, the described effects are temporary and transient.

I would like to add, that in seldom cases I have seen headache after botox injections, not lasting longer than one day.
complicaciones inmediatas :ligero enrojecimiento local ,pequeños hematomas ocasionales .
Systemic complications include flu-like symptoms, respiratory infection, nausea, headache and hypersensivity reactions.
Local complications of cosmetic Botox injection include bruising, blepharoptosis, brow ptosis, residual temporal brow elevation, lagophthalmos, dry eye, diplopia, ectropion and transient loss of orbicularis oris function.
Local complications may be minimized with appropiate refinement and adjustment of injection sites and doses on subsequent visits.
Most common side effects such as pain, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site are temporary and occur within a few days after treatment. It is generally agreed that in the hands of experienced physicians, these side effects are considered rare.
Side effects are generally mild, and generally transient (we claim not having any patient with any side effects at our practice since the year 2002). In literature and product instructions notes, these might include nausea, fatigue, malaise, flulike symptoms, and rashes at sites distant from the injections. Untoward sequelae caused by percutaneous injection include pain, edema, erythema, ecchymosis, headache, and hypesthesia. These also are generally mild and transient. The most common meaningful adverse effect is unwanted weakness. Fortunately, unwanted weakness caused by the action of the toxin usually resolves in several months and in some patients in a few weeks.
the most common complication is asymmetry if not injected in equal units to each side, some bruising at sites of needle pricks might occur that will fade out in a couple of days.
