Hi! Unfortunately, you haven´t specified the type of breast surgery you are going to have. But you may not be able to do all you have mentined after one week and you will need longer time to recover after the surgery. Yours Dr. Hyza.

Thanks very much for your response Dr Hyza - it is breast augmentation. What would you suggest as the recommended period before I could look after my baby again alone. I have arranged for the childminder to collect her from home in the mornings for a week so I don't drive ( and she is full time with her Mon-Fri)and I have my husband in the evenings but is a week sufficient. My holiday is not until 6 weeks after surgery but it is an active holiday being 2 weeks of theme and water parks and I obviously want to be able to enjoy this with my children.

Thanks again

Hi,
Side Effects:Temporary soreness, swelling, change in nipple sensation, bruising. Breast sensitive to stimulation for a few weeks.
Risks: Lack of implant permanence -- surgical removal or replacement of the implants may be required to treat problems, including: deflation; the formation of scar tissue around the implant (capsular contracture), which may cause the breast to feel tight or hard; bleeding or infection. Increase or decrease in sensitivity of nipples or breast skin, occasionally permanent. Mammography requires a special technique. (Note: Some women have reported symptoms similar to those of immune disorders. Ask your doctor about these and other FDA concerns.)
Recovery:Back to work: 14days. Physical contact with breasts: 3 to 4 weeks. Fading of scars: several months to a year or more.

My aunt just had a breast augmentation done last year. The surgeon is highly qualified and also has a combination of an artist’s eye for beauty and medical expertise. He performs procedures like Saline and Silicone breast implants with the transaxillary, inframammary and periareolar techniques.

Could you state what type of breast surgery are you having? there are two types of implants actually... namely silicone and saline implants.

Hi,
Procedural Steps
What happens during tummy tuck surgery?
Step 1 – Anesthesia
Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedures. The choices include intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. Your doctor will recommend the best choice for you.
Step 2 – The incision
A full tummy tuck requires a horizontally-oriented incision in the area between the pubic hairline and navel. The shape and length of the incision will be determined by the degree of correction necessary.
Through this incision, weakened abdominal muscles are repaired and sutured and excess fat, tissue and skin is removed.
A second incision around the navel may be necessary to remove excess skin in the upper abdomen.
Step 3 – Closing the incisions
Sutures, skin adhesives, tapes or clips close the skin incisions.
Step 4 – See the results
Your tummy tuck will result in a flatter, firmer abdominal contour that is more proportionate with your body type and weight.
The final results may be initially obscured by swelling and your inability to stand fully upright until internal healing is complete.
Within a week or two, you should be standing tall and confident about your new slimmer profile.
With best regards,
