I underwent cosmetic ear surgery one year ago. Significant lumps remain behind my ears as if the scars have become swollen. How can this problem be solved?

The surgeon would need to see if it comes to hypertrophic scars or keloid. It can removed surgically or through both the new generation of lasers that almost completely removes the scars.

Lumps behind the ears. You may have hypertrophic scars or keloids. I would recommend you see a plastic surgeon about the lumps behind your ears if it bothers you.

You have hypertrophic scars/ keloids behind your ears. You can use a steroid cream like clobevate cream x 2 daily for a few months, over the scars. If this treatment fails, you need to undergo chemical peels, or laser therapy for removal of your lumps.

It maybe that you have excess scarring called keloids. If this is a keloid then steroid injections may help.
