What postoperative regimen must be followed?

What do I have to do in the postoperative period? What restrictions are awaiting me and how do I care for the treated area?

After the eyelid surgery you will be required to lie and rest a lot, keeping your head in an elevated position, on two pillows, if possible. Also, you will be required to cool the eye region for few postoperative days, with ice packs, during the day. Stitches will be removed after 5 or 7 postoperative days, depending on whether you had upper or lower eyelid surgery, or both.
