The SMAS Face Lift can be done as outpatient, under local anesthesia with general sedation.A dressing along the incisions can be removed after 2/3 days. One week is the recovery time.

normally you need 1 week to relax and recover (dressings on for 3-5 days). the following weeks you will be able to work but bruising, stitches, swell might take longer to disappear. use of make up is possible to camouflage bruising. arnica gel and drops reduce swell. antibiotic gel on wounds minimize crusts. surgeon must suture skin in layers in order to remove skin sutures early (7-8th postoperative day).

Depending of the face lift technique used activities CAN be resumed after a few days ( bruising persist for about 12 days, and swelling for about 3 weeks) when make up is used. Sub periosteal face lift techniques CAN cause prolonged swelling. Kind regards Dr A ZELTZER

In surgical face lift, you can return to your work and activities, after a week to ten days, when your stitches are removed. In Thread face lifts, and Khawajas Transcutaneous Face Lift, you can return to work, next day of surgery.
