What type of anaesthesia is used during face lift surgery?

What type of anaesthesia is used during face lift surgery?

I am considering a face lift but I'm scared of general anaesthesia. What type of anaesthesia is used during this procedure? Is it possible to undergo the procedure under local anaesthesia?

The SMAS face lift can be done under local anaesthesia with general sedation. It is a Day Surgery.

face lift can be performed under local anaesthesia providing that your anesthesiologist is used to perform sedation for procedures that last at least 2-3 hours. confort is normally acceptable and medication that provide amnesia during the time of the operation are administered.

The Optimum MiniLift is so unique and requires no general (inhaled) anesthesia there is a greatly reduced chance of complications. The mini facelift can be done under a local anaesthetic right in Dr. Huq's Clinic. For more information - www.niagaraplasticsurgery.com

Some face lift techniques CAN be performed under local anaesthesia (often combined with an intramuscular relaxans), although most face lifts are performed under general anaesthesia. Kind regards Dr A ZELTZER

Certainly. We do all of our face lifts under local anesthesia.
