Dear Lisa,
scars are not able to be deleted totally, but it´s possible to improve them a lot.In our clinic we use Biostimulation laser for "fresh" scars and V-beam in combination with Fraxel laser for "older" scars.
We´re looking forward to your visit.
Have a nice day,
Dr.Kubátová
You cannot remove the new scar, but you can improve it with some laser treatments. Laser produce remodeling the colagen into the scar and this goes to some improvements. There is many lasers wich can treat scars, one of good Laser is Palomar Starlux - 1540 nm. You should expect some improvement in few months (time for new colagen formation and colagen remodeling). If is also pigmentated (post-inflamatory pigmentation) this will improve also.
Dear Lisa:
It is impossible to 100% disappear a scar with laser, surgery or any other treatment. We only improve the appearance of the scar an it depends on the type of scar (keloid, hypertrophic or eutrophic). For most non-keloid scars, fractionated lasers work best for improving the texture and surface. Other lasers like Nd:YAG, KTP, pulsed dye an IPL work best for improving the redness. We use Co2 laser, Fraxel, IPL and/or Nd:Yag. Hope you find this info helpful.

i have suffered from chickenpox. Is it possible to get those scars removed.
how much time will the treatment take.
laser is going to improve the appearance of the scar, the time depends on the type of scar, laser, power settings and definitively the individual response of your skin to the laser

i have multiple scars which i got 10years back, is it possible to be removed? and how many sessions do i need for the improvement. am in nairobi, kenya.
It may be possible to improve the appearance of skin by using CO2 Smartxide laser resurfacing. Please see our website for more details http://www.traceybell.co.uk/skinscription/smartxide.html
The next step would be to book in at the clinic for a complimentary consultation which would allow us to fully assess your area of concern, and assess your suitability for treatment.
If you would like more information call us on 0151 707 0340 or let me know your availability by email and I will book you in to visit the clinic.
Many thanks

I have a facial laceration on my right cheek due to dog bite. I have been using scarguard and mederma since suture was removed( Jan 3). What product should I use from now on? How soon can I get laser tx?
Hello,
we use Biostimulation laser for treatment of the " fresh" scars , 3times per week, repeated. That is the best option for You now and after half or 1 year You can continue on other laser treatments.
Have a nice day and good luck!
Dr. Kubatova
Scars need to mature for at least 1 year before treatment is considered. You should continue with the silicone treatments until the scar can be assessed at 1 year.

Dear Lisa,
your cheek scar is going to be improved day by day, but you should get some measures if your scar is getting harder, erythematous (redness) and hypertrophic. Firstline treatment is intralesional Kenakort injection in my practice. Lasers such as long pulsed NdYAG and dye with dynamic cooling device will be helpful to reduce the symptoms and hypertrophy.
Take care,

Hi Doctor,
I have 3 scars in my face, 2 deep scars and 1 due to mole removal.
Can they be completely removed?
Hi Tamil
Yes it is possible I suppose but you need a few session of laser therapy - how much? It is depends of Many factors such as your skin phototype for instance
Hello,
scars are irreversible changes in the skin, so it can´t be removed definatelly. But there are many techniques such as laser ones for improving scars, so at first is nescessary to discuss Your problem with dermatologist and find the best solution for You.
Dr. Kubatova
The treatment of facial scars is difficult and often disappointing. Some deep and ugly scars, or from trauma running in unfavourable directions can be improved by scar revision, where the existing scar is surgically removed and replaced with a new, better scar .
Resurfacing techniques, such as laser resurfacing, can improve facial scars such as post acne scarring. The scars are not removed but rather smoothed to a degree. A good outcome following laser treatment to facial scars would be an improvement of 40% to 60%
