I forgot to ask my doctor if I should stop taking contraceptives before the surgery. Is there a risk if I do not discontinue it?
Do I have to stop taking contraceptives before liposuction?

It is wise to stop the pill at least one week before large volume liposuction as it can alter coagulation profile
Dear,
You need to stop contraceptives at least 2 weeks before liposuction. There can be a hemodynamic / coagulation problem, if you dont stop, during, and after the procedure.

Yes I advise all my patient not to be on the pill for any surgical procedure
Is not totaly necesary, but it is strongly recomended. SO don't forget mention it to you doctor, he/she will need aditional measures to have the risks low.
