Although liposuction removes fat from unwanted areas, liposuction should not be considered as a substitute for exercise, nor is liposuction designed for weight loss. Liposuction is a body contouring procedure. It is designed to help those who are near their normal body weight, but still possess bulging areas of fat. After undergoing liposuction, most patients find that not only has their appearance improved, but they also feel more confident about their appearance. Liposuction can treat areas such as the neck, abdomen, back rolls, arms, buttocks, thighs, breasts, chest and many other areas. This procedure can also be performed on several areas during a single operation.

The best candidate for liposuction is a patient who has been on a good diet and lost weight yet there are areas which did not respond at all to the diet causing localised collections of fat deforming the shape of the body. In such cases liposuction may be very helpful, but liposuction is not a means of losing weight for a "lasy" patient who doesn't want to help herself by following a diet. The age also is a factor as it affects the integrity of the skin as with age skin elasticity is lost to a certain degree which differs from one person to another. So young patients may expect better results as the skin may contract back after removing the fat. The presence of excess skin with the fat, especially in the abdomen, is a very important factor as sometimes liposuction may not be suitable and instead an abdominoplasty alone is required or in combination with liposuction.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure to remove excess fatty tissue from anywhere of the whole body. But this is not a weight lost procedure.
The patients with normal weight are best candidates for liposuction.

The ideal candidtae is someone who has localized fat depots with an otherwise good skine tone. Due to the volume reduction achieved by the liposuction, the skin should have some capacity for retraction, otherwise there will be some skin laxity after the procedure!

Dear Mr.

Liposuction is not for weight loss. Is for shape contoiring at ideal weight.
And good skin retraction and dense fat. If you have any depression..take care..if you make lipo...you'll be sad!!

Dear Patient:

Liposuction is a surgical procedure in plastic surgery, whose objective is the extraction of fat anywhere on the body, including a lipoma. Liposculpture uses the same basic principles, but in different body areas, according to patterns of harmony and beauty. Liposculpture, also includes fat tissue transplantation to sites where necessary. Patients are candidates with appropriate weight for their height or moderately overweight, whenever they have very good health and are committed to daily exercise and healthy diet.

In any case, liposculpture is for weight loss, nor for obese people!

Liposuction is not the primariy option for overweight people. First of all you should try to achieve a weight reduction and after that, liposuction is a good method to shape the body or to get rid of unwanted fat deposits.

Dear,

As has been generally thought, liposuction is not for the obese, is not correct. If you are overweight, you are the perfect candidate for undergoing liposuction. Liposuction is not only indicated for localized fat deposits, but generalized obesity is a true indication of liposuction. After liposuction, you will lose not only inches from your abdomen, but also weight, with the passage of time. We have been performing liposuction surgery for decades, for generalized obesity, overweight individuals, hypertensives, and diabetics.

Normally I assess the patient's motivation to reduce their weight. If patient is motivated, I agree to operate on overweight and obese individual too. Most of the time the problem is difficulty in doing exercise in these individual. If you give a good shape, they will do exercise and reduce their weight.

It is important to understand that liposuction is not a weight reduction procedure but it is a body contouring procedure. Liposuction should be combined with dieting and exercising for weight reduction. Liposuction will help you to reduce few pounds to motivate you for further exercising and dieting.
You can opt for liposuction if you will be motivated enough to follow diet plan and exercising after surgery.

Liposuction is NOT suited for treating obesity. Exercise, dieting, psychologic support and in morbid obesity medication/ bariatric surgery are the treatment.
Massive liposuction (>5 Liters) can be dangerous, and in liposuctions over 10 Liters cause severe metabolic disturbances !!!
liposuction by the way doesn\'t treat the intra-abdominal fat which is the \'metabolically active fat\'.

Liposuction is ONLY indicated in patients desiring BODY CONTOURING or as an adjunct to other procedures (abdominoplasty, facelift etc).

sincerely,

Dr.A.ZELTZER, MD, FCCP

The issue with people with overweight that has tried everything without result is that, each an every atempt has not been compleated properly. THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON WHY YOU KEEP YOUR OVERWEIGHT. Most of the people mistakenly think that going under starvation diets will help them get rid of the extraweight; in the first two weeks perhaps they manage to get rid of 5 lbs; what they don't know is that extraweight that has been lost comes from muscle mass and water mostly leading to de following conditions: lower or poor metabolism; less muscle that can burn less fat, starvation alarm triggering leading to anabolism (increase of fat storage). ALL THE FOOD YOU EAT EVEN IF IT IS HEALTHY INDEED WITH A LOW METABOLISM WILL BE CONVERTED INTO FAT AND GET STORAGED. Find a good nutricionist to help you step by step and if you can find a trinning group or coach at your local gym to advice you step by step in the path of cardiovascular and muscular improvement. Once you get this covered you can think of surgical improvement of your body! Wish you good look! Never give up!

Buenos Dias Jose,

Hi

Overweight are better treated if you have a good psycologist, good endocrinologists/ nutritionist(for hormonal/ diet/ reeducation), and exercises(you like too much)...

Lipo must be done only for contour treatment...if you loose a lot of fat..maybe are not a best indication...you can be gain a lot of irregularities...so..make a consultation to decide the best technique to treat yourself. Maybe dermofat ressections are better..you'll change size for scars(hided/ clothes the most of them)
With attention

Dear,

You can have liposuction if you dont have any heart problem, or major illness. We perform liposuction very comfortably under local anesthesia, and you are mobile immediately after your surgery. You loose not only inches, but also considerable weight after passage of time. Results are excellent, and in our hands there are no complications. We remove a maximum of 5 liters of fat in a single session, and cost is 1500-2000 US dollars.

We have an extensive publication record, research, inventions, techniques, regarding the simplified and safe practice of liposuction surgery. If you are interested in undergoing surgery in Pakistan, you must send us your photographs of the areas you want to have liposuctioned, and we can give you an exact cost of your surgery.

With Best Wishes

Despite good health and a reasonable level of fitness, some people may still have a body with disproportionate contours due to localized fat deposits. These areas may be due to family traits rather than a lack of weight control or fitness. Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, improving your body contours and proportion, and ultimately, enhancing your self-image. Liposuction techniques may be used to reduce localized fat deposits of the: . Thighs . Hips and buttocks . Abdomen and waist . Upper arms . Back . Inner knee . Chest area . Cheeks, chin and neck . Calves and ankles In some cases, liposuction is performed alone, in other cases it is used with plastic surgery procedures such as a facelift, breast reduction or a tummy tuck. What it won’t do: Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite, the dimpled skin that typically appears on the thighs, hips and buttocks, or loose saggy skin. Liposuction is more appropriate for clients who do regular exercise and in and around the ideal body weight and difficulty to loose some area body fat.i personally feel these patients will be more benefitted and happy after liposuction. I never do this procedure for a client who think liposuction is a shortcut for dieting and exercising

Lipsuction is ideal for those people who are suffering from extra local fat deposites. Liposuction is not a methode to remove overweight fat and is not a slimming methode.

liposuction is basically a procedure in which excess fat deposit from various parts of the body are aspirated . it is a body contouring procedure in which only subcutaneous fat is removed . it is not helpful in visceral fat reduction . weight reduction also occur over a period of time in case large amount of fat is aspirated and diet and exercise are maintained.

thanks

We do offer liposuction procedures and the price depends on your weight and areas that you want to improve, like any type of surgery we would need to have a virtual or personal consultation to determine the final cost.

liposuction is appropiate for removal of fat; it is not a obesity reduction procedure.
Obesity should be managed by diet control & exercise.
