liposuction

I had liposuction on my abdoman and flanks 6 weeks ago. It is smoothing out around the flanks but the tummy is still very hard but also has ridges in and it feels like the skin is fused to my body. I am seeing surgeon soon but need to know if this is common and should I have this at this time post op?

What kind of liposuction you have had? If it was normal, than you have to ask your surgeon. If tumescent, than there is something wrong, you should have your tummy healed over.

Dear Melanie, It is quite normal that the area still feels hard six weeks after liposuction .According to our experience it should feel hard for more than two months after the surgery, so you shouldn't worry about this. There are also more than two months needed for the irregularities or swellings to disapear. At this stage, give it some time for things to setle down.
