What are the most common postoperative problems after liposuction?

I do not want my routine activities to be limited for a long time after the surgery because I look after two children. What do the patients often complain about after liposuction?

Six months after an abdominoplasty and lipo on my upper abdomen, my upper abdomen is more swollen now than it was directly after the op, painful to touch and I am beginning to suffer badly from breathlessness. It feels as if the distension of my abdomen is stopping me from breathing properly.Any ideas as to what could be causing this. Its as if my bowel is pushing out.

You may experience in some degree the following:

Bruising
Local pain
Edema (for three months)
Asymmetry
Skin laxity
Irritation of the scars

All this are minor post operation problems that heal in a short time or are easily corrected: Mayor complication (vital organ perforation) are extremely ware, that is why the procedure MUST be booked with a licensed plastic surgeon only.

one could develop contour irregularities & bruising/swelling etc.Rarely one can develop fat embolism,crush syndrome etc.

After you leave the clinic the stitches are removed, 5-6 days after the surgery.
You must wear elastic trousers or belts that help the retraction and the uniformization streching of the extra skin. At the same time, a very important element that prevents the appearance of bumps is the post surgical massage. Swellings and bruises usually disappear after 3 weeks, the seldom lasts 1-2 months.
The final result usually can be seen after 3 months.
Normal activity can be resumed in maximum one week.
In order for the result to last longer it is important for one to follow a higenico-dietetical diet recommended by a nutrition doctor and one should not hesitate to practice sport.

There are different types of Liposuction and you have to try the new generation of liposuction..After a day of surgery you can return to your normal life...

Tremendous pain 5 days after liposuction

I am five days out of lipo on my abdomen, I am having tremendous pain across the lower part of my abdomen, is this common, I have had no other problems.

In one week one can return normal activities. However the corset shloul be used for 6 weeks after operation
