i have suffered a bad cut on my nose nearly 2 months back.My wound healed fine and by 4th week i had a small red scar on it.to get rid of scar i massaged olive oil which was old (nearly 6-7 months old).this resulted in a infection.next day i went to a dermatologist who prescribed me amoxicillin and pottasium clauvante pills along with bactobran cream.that didnt help much after 10 days of following the treatment i went to another doctor who prescribed sodium fusidate with clomaxicin tabs.this reduced the swelling and redness .now my scar looks a little different from the original position(before olive oil episode).it looks a little inflated seems to be divided and there are two slight swellings on either side.My scar never showed pus in any stages of infection.i dont know what these small swellings are,are they filled with pus !!i cant think of pressing or pricking them.the skin on scar is soft.what should i do .will my body absorb the pus by itself if its there.kindly reply.will my scar ever go away as it suffered from infection.kindly advice

Do not panic! Infection has resolved, but the inflammatory process will pass slowly over time. A scar maturation takes at least 6 months. You can applied sodium fusidate for another 2-3 weeks, then contractubex (promotes healing). Remember, do it gently!
Dear Asma22 Edhema and infalammatory process can subside in one year to two years, mainly after infection process. Be calm..try to be well with your doctor and only hear him....only hear anybody..when you change the doctor. But follow one only. Best regards.AH

You should make a culture to know which bacteria is causing that.
It seems you didn't form an abscess. The infection was limited to the skin and it responded to antibiotics. You souldn't prick or injure it any more. You didn't mention it, but if the scar is semicircular you could well have what we call a "trap door" effect that keeps the skin with swelling due to a lack of appropriate lymphatic drainage. Dailly circular massage over the scar tissue should do the work.
My recommendation is to leave things as they are for the moment. As we know wound healing in the face and especially on the nose is excellent. Therefore, you should give time a chance to do the job. Do not manipulate the area nor do any experiments by expressing the irregular areas. This will result in a worse situation. If you want to do something reasonable take care 4 the skin and keep it under light fatty ointment. This will improve the wound healing. You should then reevaluate the situation after nearly 1 year. If you are not satisfied with what you see please get in contact and send a picture. You will find the contact data within my page:

Dear asma22:
First of all, we have to know with what you cut your nose (tree branch, blade, wood, glass, etc) to determine the risk of developing a bacterial, mycobacterial or a deep fungal infection in your nose, and of course to do pus/fluid and skin cultures, and also a biopsy and wait for the results. Many skin infections, especially the deep fungal, can have a scar appearance.
