Must I stop taking contraceptives before abdominoplasty?

I forgot to ask my doctor if I should stop taking contraceptives before the surgery. I heard that contraceptives increase the risk of pulmonary embolism. Must I stop taking contraceptives before abdominoplasty?

Contraceptives are risk factor for tromboembolis, we recommend aour patients to quite 2 months prior the surgery.
