I have a huge unsightly scar after a caesarean section and I am having tummy tuck surgery for abdominal diastasis of the abdominal muscles. Can the scar be fixed during abdominoplasty?

Yes, the scar is excised during the abdominoplasty, together with the excess skin and fat of the abdominal area.
In Short yes. If the tummy tuck is performed correctly there is no reason why the caesarian scar cannot be incorporated into the new tummy tuck scar.
yes, it is very much possible to remove a transverse scar over lower abdomen during abdominoasty. But if tha scar is vertical then complete removal depends on amount of skin excess
In my country we still see vertical incitions under the belly button for cesarean sections. The positive part of a tummy tuck is that the entire scar can be removed along with the skin during surgery, changing the scar for a horizontal, more concealed one. If your c-section was done horizontally, most of the time it can also be removed and substituted for the abdominoplasty scar, unless it is located too low in the pubis.
During abdominoplasty the scar by cesarian section is removed and the scar tissue adhesion as well.
A tummy tuck cannot correct stretch marks, although these may be removed or somewhat improved if they are located on the areas of excess skin that will be excised, generally those treated areas below the belly button. That is the same for scars from previous surgeries. Is it right for me? Tummy tuck surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. Abdominoplasty is a good option for you if: . You are physically healthy and at a stable weight . You have realistic expectations . You are a non-smoker . You are bothered by the feeling that your tummy is too large
Yes ,ussually the scar is removed and a new scar will take place,If the scar is a Keloid it may be difficult to deal with and the surgeon will advise on the correct treatmenton this type of scar.
The scar can be fixed definitely during abdominoplasty to a better extent if it is a transverse scar and to a lesser extent if its a vertical one.But either ways it can be improvised.
