I'd like to undergo abdominoplasty but I am afraid of possible complications of anaesthesia and surgery. What are the main risks and the most frequent complications? How often do they occur?
What are the possible complications and risks of abdominoplasty?

The most inmediate complication is postoperative bleeding in the treated area, that obligates the surgeon to review in a second procedure if a large blood vessel still has an active bleeding site. It is an unlikely but true possibility, specially if aspirin or other pain killers have been taken within 10 days of surgery. More uncommon but noteworthy complications can be: skin flap isquemia (circulatory failure), seroma (liquid accumulation under the skin), and infection of the wound. Other uncommon complications not related to the surgical site are like in any other mayor surgery: pulmonary embolism or lower leg tromboflebitis.
Every operation carries a risk of sobom.Statisticki I was not able to answer and give adequate information but I know in practice that it is very rare.
Possible risks of abdomenoplasty include hematoma, seroma, infection or poor healing of the incision site and risks associated with anesthesia.

Is it possible that a muscle relating to my shoulder could have been cut during my abdominoplasty? Ever since my surgery, I have not been able to raise my right shoulder.
This is impossible.
Your problem may be related to other cause.
PLASTIC SURGERY BERLIN - PROF. SINIS
This is nearly impossible. What seems to be more possible is a lesion of the nerve due to contineous pressure, maybe applied during the operation because of the posture when you were positioned on the operating table. I would recommend to undergo an electrophysiological examination to rule out such damage of any peripheral nerve.

it would be highly unlikely to injure - cut - a shoulder muscle during an abdominoplasty.
your shoulder injury is either a preexisting injury that may have been unmasked after the surgery or due to your positioning during the tummy tuck and the duration of your abdominoplasty.
please talk to your plastic surgeon about this for more information
i can not make any connection between those two regiones.
it is about some other reason that you are suffering in the shoulder, do not worry.
No, but your position on the operating table may have something to do with it. If your arms were put out to the sides, in the form of a crucifix (a very common operating position) and one was stretched too much for a long period of time, you may have some temporary damage to some of the nerves. Normally, with time and physiotherapy the shoulder and arm function return to normal.

Classic complications due to abdominoplasty are:
bleeding, seroma, wound infection & dehiscence, umbilical necrosis, deep venous thrombosis.
Shoulder pain is not a known complication of surgery, and might be due to compression by position during surgery, or other cause !
Kind regards,
Dr. ZELTZER Assaf
There is a low rate of complications if you have a experimented surgeon. But generally speaking could be: loose of sensation, hypertrophic scar, asymmetries, seroma, hematoma, infection and skin necrosis.
This is impossible. What seems to be more possible is a lesion of the nerve due to the posture you may have during the surgery (with both arms at the sides of the bed at 60º or more and that could be the origin of the lesion). I would recommend to undergo an electrophysiological examination to rule out such damage of any peripheral nerve, and phisiotherapy for a better and sooner recovery

your complication is related with de position during the surgery, is an complication of effects of long time in the table of surgery with open arms an if possible in other surgerys with the same position
This is a rare possibility. Nerve inury, probably temporary, is more likely.
Despite being a popular and successful operation, abdominoplasty carries a variety of risks (as do all surgical procedures).
