Dupuytren's contracture

It is a disease, during which the ligaments around palm thickens and then these ligaments loose their function. Fingers cannot be straightened. The disease is hereditary, although we still don’t know its true cause. There are also factors that influence the creation of contracture, such as smoking, diabetes and tough manual work.
