To become a Plastic Surgeon in Mexico requires a medical school graduate to complete 3 years of General Surgery training, and then 3 years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training. He or she must then pass board examinations before starting his/her private or institutional practice.
United States
In the US, a medical school graduate needs to complete 4 years of General Surgery and then 2 years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training. He or she must then pass board examinations before starting his/her private or institutional practice
