Redness after chemical peel can last 6-12 months depening on the depth of the peel. It is best to a avoid sun exposure & use regular moisturiser.

hello live1,

the maturation of a hard scaris in about one year, initially scars are red, but then gradually they go whiten, to be just a fine white line, unless involved in a bad scar or sick (pathological) to send photos to give you a best opinion. to alejandra.arredondo@perfection.com.mx with one of our patient coordinator to take a look on your pictures and give you the best option for you.

Mine gradually lost it's colour after about 10 months. The docyor had warned me that it may take upto a year, thankfully mine faded before that.

I wish there was a way to cover it up or hide it.as I've not been out the house in 2 months.and the dark part of the burn on the right is become hypotropic scar.the large pink area is smooth and goes white if i raise my eyebrows. Or push the skin.its called blanch I've read.

It looks like your skin had a deep secondary burn injury. Most likely it will turn out fine after a long healing period - approx. 6 months.

The hypotropik dark red scarring part on the right side still hurts a bit.like pressuse feeling.will camo make up infect it and cause breakouts? I think ill just have to wear a baseball cap untill it gets back to normal colour.so ill just have to stay in for the next 12 months i guess.i have the same burns under both eyes also

You should put on some ointment containing Dexpanthenol.
You should be under control of your dermatologist or the colleague who did the treatment.

N.B. Of course you do not put any make-up / camouflage on open skin / wound.
Please set up a consultation with your doctor who did the treatment.

hello
this will take some time dear friend. but it will improve. keep applying sunscreen liberally atleast 3-4 times a day on lighter areas. silicone gels and scar massages will work on elevated ares

If you're dealing with burns or scars from chemical peel treatments, I would suggest speaking to the dermatologist or doctor you visited to receive these treatments. They will likely suggest a prescription cream or gel to heal this area, or they may consider TCA treatments, which can help with discoloration.

Other solutions your doctor may inform you about include steroid creams, steroid injections, or laser treatments to deal with the negative burn/scar effects from your previous chemical peel.

Lastly, you may ask about balms, mederma, and silicone sheeting to handle this issue.

Healing of the skin can take several months. For many chemical peels, people take a few weeks off of work to treat their skin. I have heard of discoloration lasting for up to a year, but burns and red marks typically go away within a few months. If you are concerned, I would visit the doctor you previously visited to go over treatment options and prices.
