Glycolic peel post scabs falling off

About 11 days ago I got a 20% glycolic peel. I scabbed up in a couple places because my skin is very sensitive and the scabs fell off (I did not pick at them). My dermatologist told me as long as I don't pick them it should be fine and I shouldn't scar. I am still worried about it. Since the scabs fell off I have red splotches (basically new skin) where they fell off. About how long will it take to go back to my normal skin color or will it ever go back to my normal skin color? Here is a picture

The skin has gotten a little bit darker. I have not been in the sun really and i have been wearing SPF 50 every day. Is that normal? Also I started using Biafine will it still help even though this is two weeks later?

You can speed up disappearance of the red spots by applying on them to a mild cortisone cream for a few days. Simultaneously apply a healing cream such as panthenol. Of course do not forget the sunscreen!

Do not worry about redness, it will disappear by weeks, from 3 weeks to 3 months. You should keep it from sun exposure and pls use sun block spf 50+ ,

If skin color becomes darker after 3 weeks, I recommend to use Neostrata pigment lightening gel twice day for 3 months at least.

Your result is very nice... The erythemic color may take two more weeks to return normal.. Avoid sun exposure

Chemical peels are usually divided into superficial, medium, and deep peels. Glycolic acid is a superficial chemical peel. The photo you provided demonstrates a normal response to the peel. Since this is a superficial peel, I would expect you to be back to normal within 2 -4 weeks.
Please continue using your prescribed post peeling creams and sun protection.

Don't worry, your skin will recover in a few weeks.
Just avoid the sun during that period.
And use cream as panthenol or cicalfate (Avene).
Glicolic acid only provides superficial peelings, probably the time of apliance was abit too long.
