Pain after having upper and lower dental implants

I am currently in the midst of full upper and lower dental implants. I have not had a very easy time of it. The bottom has gone quite well but the top has been infected and extremely painful since just the first day. My dentist cut open the top left and cleaned out the infection and sealed it back up with a collagen membrane to help the bone graft. It's been 2 months and I'm still in pain and now the collagen membrane is coming out and I am infected again. Has anyone had any of these problems and has their pain been almost unbearable? I'm beginning to question the ability of this dentist. Also I have undergone a total of 12 hours of surgery so far all of which I was awake for because I couldn't afford the $3,000 to be put under. I wish I was rich but that isn't the case.

Dear Patient.
In these occasions, it's often the inly solution to remove implants, wait for healing and repeat the procedure. It's not normal to have pain so many months. 1-2 weeks can happen, but not longer. Do you have radiographs?

Look, the radiograph shows thst at least 3 implants must have been placed immediately or late immediately after tooth extraction. These are the two rear in the lower jaw and the firt upper left. If the radiograph is directly after insertion, the findings sre regular. Nevertheless after so much time and ts not normal to have pain. It is possible that the teeth sockets where the implants where placed immediately were not fully decontaminated and after being sealed with inplants you got pain and pressure feeling there. This happens and it doesn't mean thwt the decision to place implants immediately was wrong. But having there pain, means thst these Implants should probably be extracted, wait for 6-8 weeks and repeat procedure. It then most probably worl fine.

Th radiograpg is not enough, it just gives us hints. On the upper left side an implants was probably placed immediately and we can see the empty, blood filled, space of the former root in the bone and the implant walls
