I had upper eyes done 12 days ago The dissolvable stitches are poking out at the corners, is this normal do I just leave them ? Lids are still red and swollen but I expected that it's still eay days just a bit concerned about stitches they are white plasticky threads .

Hi mme, the swelling is normal, eyelids swell quickly , but they calm own also very quickly.
So , a bit patience.
For the stitches, you should see with your surgeon, as he knows exactly what kind of stitches he used, and if they can be cut or not ...but if you know that they're resorbable, then you should just simply wait, don't tear them,they will become more fragile and break off, or he could cut them more closely to the skin , if this bothers you....

After 12 days You have to remove the stiches, even they ar dissolvable.

Thanks for your query . As eyelid skin is very thin there is very high probability of absorbable stitch to come out. There are very high chances of these stitches to get infected . It would be better for you to consult with your surgeon to examine you and help you .
