I am extremely interested in upper eye lid surgery . However , my main concern is that I have been suffering with chronic swelling around my eye area ( both eyes ) Possibly an allergic reaction. Because of this my normal hooded eyes lids have worsened somewhat and some new wrinkles have appeared ( gutted) . I appreciate this could rule out any surgery or treatment at present , however , does this mean that I may not be a candidate for this? Noting that the symptoms have been the last months only , nothing prior bizarrely . Possibly stress related . . I’m awaiting a specialist .

To enable me to give you any more or less usefull answer, please send some photographs. Anyway, if your eyelids were of oriental character (please excuse me to deduct it from you name) a quite different approach to the described problems would be necessary, then in european "caucasian" eyelids. Becouse of my experience in Japan I know what I am talking about. If you are hesitating to "public" your photos here in forum, you may also send them directly to me to "info@dr-tribull.de".

Dear Kim, You can have upper eyelid surgery. We are the pioneers of NON-SWELLING BLEPHAROPLASTY ( Eyelid Surgery ). Your desired shape of eyes is discussed in the consultation. This response is extremely concerning . You see my post as a ‘sales opportunity’. To reiterate , I have been suffering with chronic swelling around the eye area, if I had surgery at present it’s likely the stitches wouldn’t hold . You have ignored my concerns and replied with a generic ‘copy and paste response’ .

We are not saying you go for it right now. If you are suffering from chronic swelling around the eyes, you should have a medical check up especially for kidneys. Moreover, swelling around the eyelids is not only due to renal problem but there are a number of other issues as well. So, if everything else is OK, and still there is swelling around the eyes, there is no contraindication in having eyelid surgery, and several patients who go for eyelid surgery, suffer from eyelid swelling, in addition to eye-bags ( fatty bags ), drooping of upper lids with swelling in both lids. The stitches do hold and we do a No-Swelling Eyelid Surgery, though several colleagues think, it is not possible. Hope it helps !
