Dear,
Hair loss two months after hair transplant surgery is due to "Telogen Effluvium", a phenomena in which transplanted hairs fall off. But new hairs re-grow from the roots of fallen hairs. This phase can be reduced by using Minoxidil spray or lotion 3-5% on the transplanted hairs.

Post hair transplant, we also prescribe some topical and oral preparations, which lead to significant improvement of transplanted hairs, leading to increase in hair density.

With Best Wishes

If you do online research, some people also call the telogen effluvium by the word shock loss. This would help if you look on google.

Once the hairs transplanted their is no chance to fall of those hair because they are rooted from the root of your scalp and one of the best techniques we are using to transplant the hairs.

Hello,
some transplanted hairs usually go into a resting phase due to the procedure, but start growing again after 2-3 months. Minoxidil lotion can enhance regrowth, concealing hair fibres can cover the area. The final result can be seen after 9-12 months.
Best regards,

If donor hair was taken from permanant zone and correct technique used , you should not have hair loss. However most patients loose the shaft after two weeks and regrowth will resume from the follicle in three to four months.

After the hair transplant surgery. You are not allowed to take hair bath for ten days. You are not allowed to use any shampoo or hair creams. You are not allowed to take vigorous bath for 3 weeks after the surgery. And if you go under direct sunlight, without any cap or covering, there is a chance that you will lose the results of the surgery. After the surgery, check with your surgeon on the way of life for next 3 months. Make sure that you consult renowned hair transplant surgeons. It's very normal to lose %85 of the transplanted hair after the surgery in the first three months. This period is named as 'shedding'.The transplanted hairs will start to grow on the third month and statistically %15-20 of the transplanted hair will grow every month.
Finasterid and Minoxidil may help but its not %100 guaranteed.Rarely some patients do not face with shedding after the surgery but it's really not clear why.

This new process of growth shall last on average three months. During this time the newly grown hair may look thin as some follicles may grow at different rates. On completion of this phase your hair shall begin to shed and will eventually grow back at a more even rate giving a thicker appearance.

If necessary, hair transplant can be repeated 3-4 times depending on the density and the number of the hair follicles on the donor site.
A second hair transplant can be planned in cases of continuing rapid hair loss, with patients who desire a high density of hair, for the purpose of providing a hairy scalp on those sites where no prior transplantation has been done, and for the purpose of correcting the outcome with those patients who have had an unsuccessful hair transplant in some other clinic.
