Hair transplantation is performed with local anesthesia, no pain, thread by thread is that there be no appearance of doll hair, post surgical pain is managed with common painkillers as it is not very painful.

Hi there,

There are 2 techniques that we use here at Perfection, FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) which requires taking a strip from the back of the head and using the hairs to implant into the desired area, and FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) which requires extracting each graft and implanting it into the desired area.

The FUE method is becoming more popular as there is no scar and no stitches have to be removed. During both techniques no pain should be felt as local anesthesia is used to numb the area.

If you would like some more information please check out our site, where you can find photos and videos of this type of procedure - http://www.cosmeticsurgerycancun.com/facial-procedures/fue

Please feel free to contact one of my patient coordinators if you have any questions or doubts:

Hello,
surgery is never painless, so this was just marketing, but through local anesthesia combined with massage and pain killer pills, the pain can be minimized to a very tolerable level.

This is a good point. It may be better to say minimal pain or minimize pain.

Hello Saro,
almost every hair transplant procedure is performed under local anaesthesie. Once it is working it is painless in the treated areas. but until then you will feel pain somehwo due to the injection. i do not think there is a 100% pain-free prucedure right now.

It is good that your husband had a good result from his Hair Transplant. Hair transplantation is technique oriented procedure and requires attention to details, experience and finesse in the execution of all the steps.

Good hair transplant surgeons and good hair transplant clinics deliver these results on a consistent basis.

I think the real problem is how patients can recognize marketing and quack advertising from true medicine and science.

As Hair transplantation performed under local anaesthesia ,its painless but of course,it does not mean that there are limited discomfort during the surgery.

It sounds like one thing you should look into is FUE vs FUT. Even in the world of FUE, its a good idea to evaluate Artas vs Neograft. Some centers have both of the advanced machines under one roof. Most consults are free, especially if you are in Houston. But you should call local clinics also.

İn fact patients only feel the pain of 5 or 6 enjections of local anesthetic. After local anesthesia there will be no pain. The pain felt by the patients varies with the individual pain treshold. For the comfort of our patients we do sedation before the local anesthesia

In fact, saying "Painless"to the FUE technique is a marketting slogan. While doinğ teh local anesthesia you will feel the pain of the injections according to your pain treshold. İn our clinic, for our patients comfort,we do sedation and analgesia before the local anesthesia prosedüre. So you wont feel any pain and no stress while the prosedüre. For the details contact with us

A number of hair transplant techniques are available. However, after having performed hair transplant for over 30 years now, and after having used a variety of techniques, we have concluded that a number of techniques do not lead to acceptable hair growth. We have our own technique of Khawaja's Super-Turgid anesthesia for hair transplant, Khawaja's HT grafts and Khawaja's Frozen grafts. We use highly specialized techniques of anesthesia, whereby the whole procedure is completely painless. You don't even feel the initial needle prick with our technique. We use special depth controllers, special graft cutters, special curved needles, and special technique for grafts insertion. We have a special post-operative recovery time schedule for you. The procedure is completed in a few hours and you are mobile immediately afterwards. Our graft survival rate is between 80-100%, and so we achieve maximum hair density in a single session.

We perform The FUE (folliclar unit extraction) for the hair transplant. İt is a technique of graft picking by using a fine micro-punch to take them directly from the back of the head. This technique thus makes possible to obtain several thousand micro grafts of 1 to 3 hairs which will then each be implanted in the Baldness area. It is done under local anesthesia and is painless.
