I am searching surgeon for rhinoplasty.
Does any surgeon know to perform surgery techniques such as "autospreader flaps" and "tongue in groove", ("tongue in groove" is not same as columellar strut.)
What kind of sutures do you use for those techniques dissolvable or permanent sutures?

Hello Minko
Yes of course. Autospreader Flaps are a turn-in technique for the upper lateral cartilages that can only be used when the height of the nose is reduced such as in hump removal.
Tongue in groove is a technique to push the anterior septum between the lower lateral cartilages.
Sutures are usually resorbable PDS.
We are in Basel Switzerland in case you would be interested to see us.

Hello, I think most of rhinoplasty surgeons are familiar with the techniques you mentioned, but in my opinion, don't focus too much on techniques, just talk to your surgeons what would you like to get as result and let him decide what techniques would be best for you. We also use only absorbable sutures. You may contact us and check some of our results on our clinic webpage, Estetis Clinic. We are located in Oradea, Romania.

Dear Sir,
The techniques that are you talk about are basic techniques in rhinoplasty there are used if required during the procedure. Only during a consultation a surgeon can tell what kind of techniques will use in your case. Usually its not necessary to use nonabsorbable sutures. Good luck!
