Hello!!
I have a boxy tip and i am intrested in rhinoplasty
I visited 4 plastic surgeons
All of them told me that i have thick skin
Two of them told me that i ha ve a type 2 to type 3 thick skin and i need medication before and after the procedure
The others did not mention anything about such medication
One of them actually told me that she would do cortizone injections at the time of the procedure
Has anyone a similar query?
Thanks in advance

Dear Mc Calister, we have been doing rhinoplasty for over 35 years. We use a NO SWELLING RHINOPLASTY technique especially for the tip, in which your tip becomes sharp. There is no swelling or very minor in some cases. Results are seen in a few weeks as compared to conventional rhinoplasty where you need to wait for a long time to see the final results. It is permanent. We can advise you regarding your thick skin of the nasal tip also, but we need to see a picture. We either perform a mini-invasive added procedure for that or suggest a topical application. At times, steroid injections are also required.

I have uploaded my pictures.
If you zoom in you will see that I have a type two to type three thick skin patient. What's your opinion? Can I reduce the tip of my nose, or should I have it more defined with a graft???
Thanks a lot!!!

Dear Mc Calister, thank you for up-loading your pictures. You are an excellent candidate for our state of the art SNTL tip Rhinoplasty. The procedure is done in local anesthesia, takes around 10 minutes, there is minor or no swelling after your procedure, no bleeding, no stitches and no bandages. Results are permanent with a 0% complication rate. Final results are seen in a few weeks. Your nasal tip will become sharp and more defined. You will require anti-inflammatory enzyme preparations to get rid of your minor swelling if present for 2-3 weeks. Though your nasal tip will become sharp with this procedure, if you would still like to improve thick skin, we can provide you with a topical application to be used over the tip of your nose x 2 weekly. It will lead to highly desirable added improvement in a few more weeks. Please note we are based at Lahore, Pakistan, and if you are planning to travel, you are most welcome. All the best !
