Bump on the nose and noticeable scar

I had rhinoplasty and a breast enlargement in July 2016. After many consultations we had a plan to reduce the bump on the bridge of my nose and add implants to my breasts as well as lift both nipples to reshape the breasts and make them more symmetrical. I agreed to pay extra for this part of the procedure. During the surgery, the Dr. decided to not complete this aspect of the surgery. He moved one nipple a very small amount, leaving a very noticeable scar around the entire arreola of only one breast. Not only do they now look very noticeably different, they are not the shape that I was promised by the Dr., and it is obvious that had he actually completed the procedure as discussed, they would be exactly what was promised. He also found it necessary to break my nose during the surgery, something he did not anticipate beforehand. Because of this, the bridge of the nose had bone scarring, creating a new and significant bump on the bridge of the nose once it healed. During a post-op consultation, the Dr. was very dismissive of this saying “you don’t want to fix that, do you?”. When I said, “yes, of course” he proceeded to quote me the almost full price of a second rhinoplasty surgery to correct the bump, which obviously I could not afford. When I expressed unhappiness with this, the Dr. immediately stopped all communication with me. I never received my one year post-op consultation. The Dr. and I communicated in 100% English during all consultations, but the papers I had to sign only hours before my surgery were in Spanish. When I told the Dr. that they should have been translated or presented to me in advance to translate, the Dr. stopped speaking English with me and only communicated in Spanish, as if trying to protect his liability and prove that I do indeed speak Spanish. Overall I was left very unhappy with my botched procedures, and especially disappointed in the lack of caring and quality assurance by the doctor himself.

You should mention the name of the doctor who botched you, to ensure that no other patience will ever go to him!

This website edited my post and removed the name of the Doctor and also changed the name of the post which is why it says “Bumb” instead of bump. His name is XXX.

Hi eb,

We are sorry but the name of the doctor is automatically hidden in all posts. Not all of the doctors use online platforms like Estheticon. In that case he does not have the possibility to manage the reviews that concern him. You can still share this kind of information with other users via PM.
However I agree that it is important to share your experience, for exemple how did you choose the doctor or how long were you preparing yourself?

Thanks for understanding,
