Extremely inflamed clitorus after Labiaplasty

Extremely inflamed clitorus after Labiaplasty

Goggo

I had labiaplasty 3.5 weeks ago. The recovery was ok to start with then it became extremely uncomfortable. Upon looking, my clitoris is extremely swollen and is the hood is not covering it at all. It rubs on to my clothing which Is painful. Ive spoken to my plastic surgeon and he will be looking at it next week. Ive seen my GP and she has put me on antibiotics, anti inflammatories and a cortisone cream. Ive only just started taking them all last night so hopefully this will help with the inflammation over the next couple of days. I petrified it will stay this way. I cant go to work as I need to walk a lot. Ive been sitting on my lounge using icepaks all day. Its horrible. It was bearable to start with but has gotten worse. IS anyone else going through this? Or has and is ok now? I need some reassurance.

I am 5 weeks post op and I’m still uncomfortable walking sitting. After all the swelling went down I noticed I was left with a botched labiaplasty & have no idea what was done to my perineal.

I cant see the pic very well im sorry. What a horrible feeling this is. Im 6 weeks post op today. I still feel a burning, raw sensation all over the area. I have a feeling there might be some stitches inside. I was meant to see my PS 2 weeks ago but the day of I woke up feeling better and seeing as I have to travel over 2 hours to see him, I opted to wait for the original follow date which is tomorrow. Wish I kept that appointment because it became inflamed again. But I go see him tomorrow with many questions. Im pretty sure ill need a revision. Ive been told by another PS that hes cut too much off one side and that too close to the frenula which is what is causing the pain. So wrong. I feel as if ive mutilated myself and have cried almost every day since. I cant go back to work as I cant walk comfortably and find it uncomfortable to wear most clothing. Have you been back to see your PS?

It’s such an emotional, mental feeling ughhhh. I see her tomorrow. I’m so scared I’ll be told I need hemorrhoids surgery or something of that matter. I pray for anyone that is going through this right now. It’s so draining. I just want to feel normal again. I’m on the same boat as you I can’t wear most clothing. You and I both are not alone in this. I know exactly how you feel. I’m sorry. 😞 Praying!!

Thank you ! If it's hemmoroids... that should be an easy fix for you and not permanent? It's such a trying time. To tell you the truth, If I knew this would be the recovery or outcome, I never would have gone through with it. I blame myself for making this decision. Very emotional time. Please let me know how you go at your PS. I see mine tomorrow as well. Fingers crossed 🤞

Hi! Have you had any relief? This happened to me last year but it turned out to be a bad surgery. It was horrible and I'm so sorry youre going through pain. I hope it's not bad for you. I do have a recommendation for a surgeon if it is (in the US)

Who is your recommendation? I've been told I need a reconstruction and have had 2 consultations with 1 more to see before I make my mind up. I consulted via email with Drs Michael Goodman and Gary Alter. They were amazing, giving me detailed descriptions of what went wrong and how they ngg would fix me !

I went to Gary Alter two months ago for a reconstruction too! My previous surgeon had basically not left any skin for a labia majora so it was really hard to find someone for that. I'm 2 months into recovery but I definitely am feeling better and not in constant clitoral pain ugh. I would def recommend Gary Alter!

Thanks! He's been great in his correspondence with me. I'm from Australia so no chance of getting there soon. He quoted me approx $30,000 aid which is enormous! But they say he's the best !
