Aquamid is a permanent corrective filler that is used frequently in the forehead and to decrease nasolabial folds (smile lines). It may also be used for the correction of other kinds of facial wrinkles and for restoring volume to the face. The active ingredient is a polyacrylamide gel which is mixed with water. This product is available in Europe, but it is not yet FDA-approved.
