Endermologie, often called endermology, treats cellulite by massaging, rolling and sucking at the skin surface in order to stimulate the break-up of stubborn cellulite deposits.
Endermologie for cellulite treatment reviews
Endermologie sessions include gentle suction from two active rollers, which resemble rolling pins, and a motorized vibrator massage of the skin. The effect, according to endermologie practitioners, is to decrease the thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer, which by increasing blood flow and lymphatic drainage, allows for the elimination of excess fluid and fat cells.
Each endermologie treatment typically lasts about 45 minutes and feels like a hard massage.
Supporters of endermologie claim that this activity boosts the circulation, helping to break down unwanted fat cells and cellulite. There are critics, however, who argue that endermologie simply causes swelling that only hides, but does not remove, the underlying cellulite deposits.
Endermologie is often used after a tumescent liposculpture procedure, in order to give a smoother appearance to the treated area.
The course of treatment lasts for fourteen weeks, during which time it is recommended that patients drink two to three liters of water each day to help flush their systems.
