The liquid facelift is a neurosurgical facial rejuvenation method which utilizes both modern cushioning materials and botulinum toxine. It is used to fixate the contours of the face and to renew its natural fullness. It also eliminates bags under the eyes, brightens the eyes and fills up sunken cheeks.

The treatment mainly focuses on restoring lost facial volume and firming loose facial contours. This greatly restores the youthful, fresh look of the face. The method uses both surface and in-depth fillings (Juvéderm, Voluma, Radiesse, Restylane, Perlane, Sculptra etc.) for longer lasting effects. These fillings are applied with a thin, targeted needle which fills up and lifts the desired area. Concurrently, the botulinum toxine is used to correct facial contours and to relax the unpleasant expression caused by the pulling of some muscles. Wrinkles in the treated areas are also reduced, which is a positive secondary effect of the procedure. The treatment’s effectiveness is very high due to its two-method approach.

The liquid facelift is usually performed with local anesthesia. It is an ambulant, or one day, procedure which makes it is easy for patients to return to normal activities shortly after treatment. The only post-treatment doctor recommendations that need to be adhered to are in regard to the boutlinum toxine and fillings application. An advantage is that one treatment is sufficient to rejuvenate looks, though the effect is not permanent and will recede gradually after some time. Its duration depends on the type of material used. The treatment can be repeated at any time at the patient’s convenience.
