Smoothbeam is a pulsed-dye laser resurfacing treatment. It is non-invasive, and it is used to minimize the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles, and fine lines. The laser distributes energy through the surface of the skin and promotes the production of collagen. It also alters sebaceous glands to prevent future instances of acne while concurrently reducing acne-related skin lesions. Treatments last between 20 and 30 minutes with patients generally needing 4-6 treatments that are spread out three to five weeks apart. Redness may appear as a result of the treatment, but it will go away after one or two days.
