Fahmy Fahmy MBBCh FRCSI (Plast)
Mr Fahmy S Fahmy, FRCSI (plast) has been a Consultant Plastic, Cosmetic, Reconstructive and Hand surgeon since 2001. Mr Fahmy started training in Plastic Surgery in 1991 in the South East of England then Yorkshire. He continued his training in the South West of England, before becoming a consultant in 2001 in Chester and Wrexham, Cheshire and North Wales.
His work is divided between NHS and Private practice. Mr Fahmy’s NHS practice is at the Countess of Chester hospital in Chester, Cheshire and the Maelor hospital in Wrexham, North Wales. His private practice is conducted at the Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital, Chester and Spire Yale Hospital, Wrexham, North Wales.
Mr Fahmy is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS), UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). He is included in the specialist register established by the GMC in 1995. Mr Fahmy is an examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and was on the Specialty Advisory Committee (SAC) for training in Plastic Surgery until 2009.
Mr Fahmy has numerous publications in the field of Plastic Surgery and presented his work in National, European and International conferences. He described his own technique in breast reduction that is adopted by many surgeons now. His breast reduction technique was published in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery American journal as well as constituting a chapter in one of the American books on breast surgery, published in 2009.
